About UNICEF Charity Run 2024/25 - HERO RUN

Heroes are often admired for their power to change the world. Yet, superpower does not make a true hero. Instead, the willingness to take on the mission of alleviating sufferings in the world sets heroes apart from others.

Therefore, heroes are not limited by age, gender, religion, origin, nor race. Be you a 5-year-old girl, a 40-year-old father, or a 70-year-old grandmother, as long as you are willing to take up the social responsibility, you can rewrite the lives of underprivileged children!

Be a hero today. Let’s run!

Pass on the Tradition

Outrun the Past

The UNICEF Charity Run organized by the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF HK) is celebrating its 16th anniversary! Besides being an annual fundraising event for UNICEF HK, it is also one of the largest charity road running races in Hong Kong. Since 2006, the event has attracted over 160,000 compassionate participants. With donations from both individuals and corporations, the Run has accumulatively raised over HK$140 million. These funds have been supporting UNICEF's work in over 190 countries and regions worldwide, providing urgent assistance to vulnerable children and their families.

One Goal in Mind

Two Days of Fun

Every participant in the UNICEF Charity Run 2024/25 is a superhero. For the first time, UNICEF HK has themed the charity run as HERO RUN, and spread the event over two days, namely "HERO RUN – WondeRun" and "HERO RUN – PoweRun". The event focuses on promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for people of all ages, starting from birth. This echoes with UNICEF HK's "7,000 Days of Life" campaign.
