UNICEF is on the ground in Myanmar, working to meet children's needs.

Myanmar was hit by two large earthquakes that posed devastating impacts on children and families. The 7.7 and 6.4 magnitude earthquakes shook the country with epicentres near Mandalay, the country's second largest city. The initial earthquake was the most powerful to strike Myanmar since 1912.

There has been extensive damage to buildings, roads, and infrastructure in Mandalay, Sagaing, and Naypyidaw - areas housing hundreds of thousands of children.

The earthquakes come on top of an already dire situation. Myanmar is now in its fourth year of escalating conflict, and millions of children across the country were already living in fear, displacement, and deepening poverty. The devastation caused by the earthquakes only adds to the needs of children in the forgotten crisis and we need your help.
